Linkedin has a setting somewhere to set your profile to "actively looking", have you tried that? I have done it previously and it always seems to result in a lot more recruiters reaching out.

Thanks for the insight. It will be really interesting to see were bitcoin and altcoins land in 20 years. I'm a crypto-noob personally and have only dabbled, but in the short term the world outside of bitcoin looks pretty damn interesti

Tangentially related, do you have any thoughts on ethereum or other alternative crypto projects? Or are you bitcoin or bust?

It doesn't have to be a binary option. If you have control of your money and want to put it in the hands of a centralized organization you should be able to do that.

Whats the point of trading and investing in non voting stocks? Personally, I have never been a crypto bull. But the thing is you don't have to get the point, and I don't either. There seems to be a large appetite for risk. Add in

I mean, the idea of trading one coin for a "new" coin is pretty wide spread now. And the coin can be printed by the contract owner, if they specify it that way. So if people want to buy in to that system they totally can, and it c

It's exactly the reason people complain about anonymous image boards. But that's what it is. Even the "SFW" boards are filled with stuff that you might find distasteful or downright wrong. You are safe... don't worr

I thought most companies succeed in this area by eating cost. I guess if you wanted to remain hyper local it might be possible?

These seem like a good set of rules to follow. I would also add that in my experience once you get burned a time or two in production you start to develop a healthy level of paranoia and skepticism towards the code you write. I'm not s

No. Not at all. A monorepo with multiple back end projects might push all at different times. So what this means is that when designing new features across multiple services you need to design them with push safety in mind with a roll out p

Uhh, I think most engineers in FAANG have no real problem getting a condo or even a house, and renting works as well. I guess as an L3/new grad it would be out of reach to buy in markets like NYC...

Wow, I wish it were so easy. Unfortunately some companies actually want engineers to find and produce value, and they tell you that. So it's not as simple as "do what you're told" because "do what you're told&q

It is very strange... I have some assumptions that it would be better for the general public to not have a credit card culture. Very rarely have I "required" the use of one, but when I was moving for my first real job out of schoo

I assume you don't really believe getting a job at google qualifies you as superhuman, but just want to reiterate, getting a job at google does not make you superhuman and IMO has a lot more to do with time and place than raw ability..
