The biggest suggestion I can give to students in CS is to find a focus (like this link was Security). Without that, after graduating with your Bachelor degree, you won't have a specific interest. If its academic and you're really

As a college instructor, this excites and worries me. Obviously, major courses being offered online can reduce the number of students coming through our door. Conversely, most of the core requirement courses have become so 'cookie cutt

I think the smoke detector is a safe bet for the Nest. Like the page says, the "connected home" is starting to be something we see emerging; the issue is, what needs to be 'connected'? There aren't really a lot of a

Actually, it is easy to blame them. If a bar had the reputation of crawling with sexist assholes and awkward lonely guys, how would the organization fair? The owner can't say 'Oh well, that's how our customers are' if th

To me it sounds like she made those offers to everyone but the instructor. There is no mention to the instructor's reaction to this offer. Also, when she later mentions the instructor 'not noticing' the daughter's less e

The basics are not always interesting, especially when you 'get them'. But its through this repetition you build upon the knowledge. Eventually every fancy thing falls back to the basics. Think about Chemistry; the instructor can

Despite no longer playing, I love the continued updates for the game. Just yesterday I suggested the game to my Basic PC Literacy class and a handful of the students were nodding in agreement.

I disagree, think of it like Bit.Trip Runner, the beat builds as you progress, but you have to start over if you fail.

Living in a college town, you'd be amazed how many people meet up at Coffee Shops to work. Personally, I'm like that as well. Something about getting out of the house and dropping $2 on coffee makes me force myself to work without
