The concept is totally flawed. Having 10+ tabs open is as chaotic as it was before. Too bad, Google missed a chance to solve a problem many people seem to have. At least here on Hackernews I am reading from time to time that people have the

I waited multiple years to upgrade from a MacBook Pro 2014, but was disappointed year after year, because I read about heating issues, the bad butterfly keyboard or the useless touch-bar. In 2019 I felt like things are not going to get any

I tried about every noteworthy Markdown editor in recent years. Typora is the one I am still using. Great work. I hope they don’t ask for a subscription fee, but one time payment, once out of beta.

I wish their shipping costs to Germany wouldn’t be that expensive. Hardware + tax + shipping costs is just way too expensive. I wanted to buy an Oryx Pro recently, but had to go for another model (non System76) because of this.

Thanks! My path to freelancing went something like this: I used to have some small gigs on the site while being employed—projects which were not interesting for the company I worked at the time anyway. This way, before I actually quit, I al

I was not happy at my old job any more and decided to try if freelancing works for me. At first I was struggling a bit. You have to get projects, figure out how everything works, get insurances and so on. Now I mostly work for a recruiting

I would bet a lot on this map never making it into the public (accepted officially). Maybe a reworked version with better contrast. I absolutely agree that it is hard to guess how long a trip will take with the current design. Would be grea

But it’s not geometric any more. Try following the ring in one direction finding a station which you know is somewhere on the ring. It is much easier with the original design.

Berliner here. The ring (called like that by most citizens, here drives the “ringbahn” – circular train) serves most as orientation. People say “I live inside the ring”, or “that party is far outside, outside the ring”. Removing this elemen

As a long Mac user I am looking at non-Apple laptop computers for a while now (mainly because of dongle-madness, reduced build quality in the newer MacBook Pros, and the bad keyboard). The trackpad is the biggest reason for me to keep using

I heavily use the keyboard to jump to certain folders in Finder, e.g. "p" jumps to "projects". Not possible with this system unless you remember each and every number.

Could be an option. But then I have to take care of two operating systems instead of one. Maybe WSL will be worth a shot after the next update of Windows 10. So far I did not hear too much good about it.
