Debugging can be pain though, as you may not know the right stack, and makes it harder to follow how the code executed in that context. But yes, rather than writing an async state machine with callbacks, I would prefer this.

If I'm not mistaken, another argument for microkernel was the isolation of each modules. For example, if I'm using some driver X and it crashes, rest of my system will continue to work fine. That's not the case with monolithi

Also, Apple TV doesn't do YouTube (and other Google things) at 4K. Which sucks, considering you are spending like $200, and YouTube is probably you would use the most.

So, I use Dell XPS 13 personally, and when I got MacBook Pro 15 2018 model, I was super unhappy with size of trackpad. It took a while, but I got used to it and now prefer over my XPS-13 trackpad. The trackpad was always amazing (force touc

`unreasonable load` sounds pretty vague. What counts as unreasonable? 10 VMs doesn't sound like much, and I believe if I'm renting a VM with XYZ specs, I should be allowed to use up-to max capacity it says so in specs. What am I m

As a person who doesn't develop for browser, I'm always super impressed and envious of tooling. I occasionally (once in several months), would use some of these tools for some random small thing I made and I could just get started

A lot of people (from every kind of background) come to the US and work. I would say someone dad's being an IAS would have almost zero impact on stepping up in the career ladder in a US tech company, however, being from a prestigious u

My main complain is that whenever I start the desktop client after few days, it takes forever to load the old messages. I'm not sure, but I think it tries to download all messages and attachments before showing the UI, which can be pot

I moved from Vim work roughly 6 years ago. I think Magit was the most mindblowing discovery I made after the switch. It is much more common now, and there is even a Vim equivalent I hear. I can't imagine using Emacs (or any editor) wit

Any articles/resources on writing high-performance JS that you would recommend? I don't use JS for work, but just for random fun stuff. So just curious to learn more about it.

I wonder if there could be uBlock/AdBlock filter made for medium in general to block all this. I dunno the format of filter files, but it was easy to add a uBlock rule for a particular element using UI.

Still reading the article, and I'm enjoying it so far. My only complain is the design of your blog. The header and the footer (to subscribe on Medium) takes so much space that there is relatively less space to read to actual content.
