Some more than others. But I'm pretty sure that the average consumer os is vulnerable to someone with the skills. Even if the os itself isn't, there will typically be hundreds of unaudited programs running under escalated privileg

OK. The iPhone simulator that comes with Xcode is really close to the real thing. You need a mac for it though.

Or get a cheap mac (mac mini, for example). Then you can run the iPhone emulator and use Safari to debug. Works really well. Edit: Oh, you mean you tried this, but it works differently? Or are you using some linux-based dev tools?

That would be cool. This looks like a very useful tool especially in the initial development phase, where Phonegap also happens to be useful.

I wonder if this can be used with Phonegap?

In big corporates, your startup experience might not count for much, but I doubt that many places would consider it a downright negative. For SMB's I would expect it to count as a positive. At least when I have been hiring (in SMB'

It'll do too, but I think it's nice to abstract the http-layer completely away from the view. In case you want to replicate, I believe the relevant part is simply adding this to the base class: extend ActiveModel::Naming

Nice. I've built something very similar in my current app. In my app it's called `SearchModel` and descendants live within the `app/models` dir. I include some modules from `ActiveModel` to make it act as a regular db-backed

You have two problems, it seems. First, you need to figure out what you want to do. E.g. do you want to join them or stay with your current arrangement. Nobody on this forum can help you decide that. But make your due diligence on the compa

Double so because OP has been out of the loop for 6 years, which tells me that they are probably a bit rusty and not prepared to absorb a new language on short notice.

Thanks. If you also use it in speech, then it strongly suggests that it's simply because would've sounds similar to would of. To humour me, would you mind saying where you're from?

Makes sense, I suppose. I was wondering if there was more to it (E.g. a cultural artefact), but I suppose not then.

Completely off topic here, but why is it that people some times write "would of" instead of "would have"? Is it something you would use in spoken language? And where?

It's not the triple negative that is the culprit here though. It's the inherent ambiguity in a phrase such as "never been better", which could be either a negative or positive statement. I'm sure there's a name
