My doctor told me to take Lysine 500mg per day to prevent them. You have to take it everyday forever, but it works really really well. Surprised it's not a more well known treatment. I only found out about it a couple years ago. Good

If you read any weed forum you’ll find endless posts of people who can’t smoke anymore because it causes paranoia and panic attacks. Same with me, used to be fun and now it causes anxiety. There are definitely some long term effects and cha

How about the alternate reality where GitHub is desperate to monetize and/or is acquired by a company that is... don't think it could happen? Let me tell you a little story about SourceForge...

The gov can't print bitcoin . Transaction fees are much less than traditional currency, and much faster transfer. (Sorry for not being super exact) Wiring 20k into an exchange costs me $20, a normal transfer takes a few days. Crypto i

You put your trust in governments to not mess with the currency. That's on you. When shit hits the fan people buy gold, it's no different with crypto. People don't trust the government to manage currency correctly in times of

Intrinsic properties are the things that remain even if no one is using it. So even if no one is using bitcoin it is still quick to transfer, hard to forge, difficult to create, etc.. etc..

Scarcity is absolutely an intrinsic value. Gold has value because it is relatively scarce given the difficulty to mine. In addition to being really shiny which was valued by our ancestors. There are lots of useful rare elements used in man

Bitcoin has tons of intrinsic value unique to crypto currencies that traditional currencies lack. Most importantly it can't be created/destroyed at will by a central government. Huge sums can be transferred globally at the speed

'var transactions' is enough information for most people to understand it's a list of some sort. If it really matters to you then use the IDE. The full type info is just not that useful. That's why most languages are mov

Making it harder to program is not synonymous with making the programmer 'more aware'. I'd argue the opposite. It's much harder to figure out the source of or find all references of something without an IDE. An IDE with

The type definition alone wouldn't tell you if it's an enum, ordered, or no duplicates allowed... The writer would know what type they're working with through intellisense. The reader would know it's iterable based on ju

I find it much easier to scan code that uses var. Type definitions (sometimes incredibly verbose) do not help readability. And knowing the name of the type is not the same as 'knowing' the type. You still need to go to the type&#

Having the type name doesn't tell you anything about the type itself. Unless you have the type definition memorized, having the type declaration there is not very useful. If I replaced the types above with var, you would still be in th

I mentioned the first case in my post - using var is better because there’s minimal code change when refactoring and the compiler will tell you any incompatibilities to look into. For the second case, var or not, it doesn’t matter. If you’r
