They finally fixed their VAE. It really held back their models over the last 2 years. EDIT: It still produces artifacts it's better but unusable for production work. In midvalues you will see a slight dot pattern.

Because there has to be demand for it. There are hundreds of tasks that could be automated right now, and people still choose to do them by hand. Just because something is technically replaceable doesn’t mean it will be replaced and editing
