You might be reading too much into this action. I have long ignored the number of dislikes on a video, because you cannot discern if the dislike was genuine dislike or offense—not a cancel mob, or a troll. Is it possible to look at 2000 dis

So then this is part of why it seems so fast, because the CPU is now approaching GPU memory bandwidths? Hmm, I really wonder what it'll look like in a year or so with the M2/M2Pro/M2MAX then. Thanks for clarifying the extra m

So I've observed something from many of the tests/reviews posted so far, as well as Apple's specs: Apple claims 200GBps memory bandwidth for the M1 Pro, and 400GBps for the M1 Max. Some tests show the M1 Max saturating the me

I have used Apple products because if you calculate how long they last and the original cost, they cost less over a longer period of time. Or at least they did. This loss in value is what I’m complaining about. And this isn’t Apple’s forums

Eh, I’m still using a ~4 year old iMac. One of those that are painfully difficult to upgrade RAM. (And I keep repeatedly hitting the limit right now.) And I’m trying to keep it in sync with an even older MBP. And you’re right: I don’t appre

Actually, they kept one of the oldest mistakes: overcharging. $400 to upgrade from 16GB RAM to 32GB. $200 to upgrade to 1TB SSD. These guys control the whole supply chain without middlemen like WD, Samsung, Crucial, etc — and they charge ba

The difference between Walmart and Amazon, is that Amazon can study products it had no analog for. It could decide that it wants to enter a market, study sales patterns, force a supply chain change that let them spy on it, and launch their

I use Laravel daily. With xdebug on, the request shows down easily 2-5x times. For a real performance benchmark turn that off, and Laravel is easily in the 50ms response time range. It could also be that they don’t know how to optimize PHP

The irony of tailwind is that it inverts the CSS paradigm. Instead of the cascade and selector tree being in CSS, where it's designed to be, tailwind puts the rule and cascade into the HTML. This may be nice, but is definitely suboptim

I see the arguments back and forth. But this is just classes replacing styles, with a cascade that can't be controlled from HTML. I see no advantages over CSS, and a huge cognitive load for using Tailwind. Adam Wathan is brilliant. But

It could be the difference between emissive and ambient/reflective light. OLED is still emissive. It sounds like this is not 100% emissive, and leverages ambient/reflective light.

I can’t stand Penguin’s ebook price fixing. Ebooks should not be almost the same price as a hard copy! This is bad.

One thing unanswered by your site (prior to signing up anyway) is what the cost is, or how you make money. Also, your about page is just a copy of your homepage content. Other than those 2 things, it looks very nice. :)

As a professional web developer I don't know how I feel about this. 1. Edge is terrible, in my experience, and has strange edge-case bugs to work around on complicated sites. Also, the fixes don't fix what might break in IE. 2. Ch
