Just wondering, were do you live in India? A 'decent' vegetarian meal (the kind I have everyday) costs Rs 25 from a restaurant. And possibly Rs 10-15 ($0.2) if I cook myself.

That's been my fallback plan, but the problem is they don't always have anything with them to show me.

A bit complicated actually. According to the state government of Kerala, for purposes of reservation (a form of positive discrimination), they are classified as a 'Backward Community'. The line is so blurry atleast in my part of the country

I am from Kerala. This was obviously big news when it happened. But on my mind, this was a closed issue a few years back, when it was 'proved' that the colour was due to some algae. I'm a bit surprised by this now, and also surprised that n

Yes absolutely. I used to live in a suburb of Stuttgart, and that was around the first time I really tried biking. It was definitely worth it, the well maintained bike lanes, the free burning of the fat, lovely relaxing scenery and off cour

Think you are generalizing a bit. I admit government hospitals here in India are not exactly world class, but 'reek of urine' is not there in every hospital. Atleast the hospitals in my part of the country (Kerala) are way better than you d

I really don't think caste plays that much of a role (in day to day Indian corporate life) as it is made out to be. Past 5 years working in this industry, I have never been asked about my caste or been discriminated against because of it. I
