I'm with you, but it makes for extremely impressive demos. And surprisingly useful day to day improvements. It's not like you can't do this manually (or automatically) but MCP makes things like this so much easier: > Check

Are there any companies making the news that are going in the opposite direction? Allowing more flexible “hybrid”, or even full remote? I recently got an Amazon recruiter ping, but realized that they couldn’t pay me enough to commute into t

I'm puzzled by this -- what are you hoping the reader takes away from your post? Are GPTs perfect? - No. Do GPTs make mistakes? - Yes. Are they a tool that enable certain tasks to be done much quicker? - Absolutely. Is there an incredi

There are complex prompts that are worth fine tuning. For me, it’s prompts that require a bunch of context. For example, vacation planning. Include a bunch of requirements, so it turns into a 1000 words essay, but it’s worth it to store it

Well I know what I’m listening to at work tomorrow. Wonder if this is going to make my code happier or sadder. Also now wondering if there’s any research on how music affects (cognitive) performance.

It’s so funny, when Netflix got going streaming it was a revolution. Getting away from paying tons of cash to cable providers. Now we are right back to where we are started. I signed up to sportsnet to watch nhl games, but guess what? Amaz

Does this thread suffer from survivorship bias? I got so frazzled during the last interview I had that I completely forgot to mention my open source contributions. Normally it’s something I’m pretty proud of..

Not sure I'm following. I was under the impression that MCP defines a way for LLMs to reach into the "real world". The MCP servers I've played with basically say "I'm an MCP tool, and I can fetch a Jira ticket&

Disagree. Leveraging internal tools like JIRA, Confluence, PagerDuty etc has been a huge boost for productivity. "I got an alert for X, who can help me" surfaces a bunch of helpful stuff. Not groundbreaking in the sense that I cou

I see where this is going in the context of tools like Cursor. The common wisdom is that if you don't use it, you lose it. Muscles atrophy without stimulus (regular exercise). On the other hand, this seems to echo the transition from a
