The thing is being a victim if a self-fulfilling prophecy. You have no idea what it's like to be another person. But if you are told that "people like you" will find it harder and will be the victim of more hardship then you

Comparisons like this always make me cringe. Do we have to use cars as the comparison for things like this? As a person who identifies as a car in tech, this kind of comparison almost always makes me want to disengage.

What are you even talking about? I've also been shouted down, talked over and the rest. What does that have to do with the analogy for which you felt the need to express disapproval and play your "woman in tech" card? You hav

>As a woman in tech, this kind of comparison almost always makes me want to disengage. And that's why there are not many women in tech. Stop taking things personally. I don't care if you're a woman. Is that a good thing or

I've wasted entire days answering a few five minute questions and not being able to get anything done. IF you have a question, email me and I'll look at it when I can and maybe arrange a time to talk about it. Being randomly inter

Have you ever wondered what the point of males is? We take it for granted and many of us probably think males are actually necessary for reproduction but, of course, they are not. Many organisms reproduce just fine without sex. Those that d

"To sunset" is the worst verb I've seen a long time. Why not just "discontinue" or "phase out"?

Yes, it is. I can't say anything about being "more readable" but English is presumably "more readable" than isiXhosa for you. Reading is a skill that has to be learnt and practised. You were not born with the abilit

While interesting, I can't see why any programmer would assume half of these ever. Why would anyone go out of their way to restrict place names to be in the "usual character set of the country"?

To be fair, ordering takeaway was just an example used in the article. I actually enjoy cooking, so it really wouldn't make me happier to order. I also like polishing my shoes and some things like that. But I hate ironing my shirts and

By "100% clean" do you mean no flicker, ie. they use the more expensive components? I invested in Philips LED bulbs about a year ago and honestly I can't fault them at all. I consider myself to be sensitive to things like fli

That is seriously annoying. Not only do they flicker, they are slightly blue as well. I have mistaken an Audi for an emergency vehicle in my rear view mirror on multiple occasions. I am sure that this is their plan. Such lights should be ou

The square root denominator looks too low to me. It makes the whole thing look lopsided. The TeX version looks better to me: http://latex2png.com/output//latex_9c2d6d68604c4a04a90acc777...

High quality CRTs looked better in every way really. But it's not just that. There are groups in my area that actually play old N64 games on old CRT TVs and it still looks bad. I really wished that I just kept those old games as treasu

Funny thing is the version of AoE that I have in my memory from the 90s actually looks like the new version show here. Back then it was super HD (and did waste electricity and meaninglessly burn CPU cycles). I don't understand people
