Remove data limits and speed caps, and 5g might just be worth it. He’ll, it’d be worth it for 4g. Won’t happen in the states though

Digital nomads.. it works for short term I think. But this is why I’m opening my own business in Hong Kong. At least then, I have a business and an account that clients can pay me through. And I’ll open a rep office in Taiwan, which is wher

Must intrigued me, but when I played it as a kid I never got into it. Just felt like a puzzle game that was boring. However, the books that were part of the Myst universe drew me in. I loved the books.

Thanks, I think? Haha :) I didn’t finish reading the article. One, because it’s long (normally not a problem for me) but two: because it pisses me off how churches are taking advantage of this. I had anger problems after leaving my family.

This isn’t really new. Samsung bought (allegedly) his stock photo and used it. Nothing illegal with that, though it potentially could be false advertising. I feel like all phone companies use dslr photos, or photos they didn’t even take wit

It’s so stupid. My parents got more and more into this bullshit as I grew older. All of a sudden I was a demon possessed teenager who, god forbid, had a mind of his own. You don’t know the level of mental abuse kids deal with in families li

I think I’m gonna go ahead and apply. I live in China as an expat, though, and currently work as a freelancer, so not sure how the interview process will go.

Reading the comments here make me chuckle. I honestly find it mind boggling that people would complain of bicycles taking up space, let alone scooters. I love the bike share programs in Taiwan and China. I haven’t used a car in years. Yeah

I’ve had nothing great to say about churches and services for a long time now. Part of it is due to my upbringing. Ever since I escaped the stranglehold that is religion and Christianity, I see church as a place where cults hang out.

I would miss the headphone jack if I ever bother upgrading my iPhone. As it is, I use my Bluetooth headphones a lot at home. Noise canceling and no cord is pretty nice. But for very good audio I use my normal sennheisers

Sitting next to my Chinese girlfriend in Chongqing. Sichuan food is “麻”, which is a way to say it makes your tongue numb. Not “spicy” (though to me it’s very spicy). North China food is normal, not spicy ( like dumplings, baozi, and such).

I’m actually considering doing this as part of a side business, but more personal. I’m pretty good at managing people, but why work for a company? I’d rather help people push themselves to achieve their goals, while giving a bit of advice on

Shit, in China, it’s very common to jump ship after one or two years to get at 10-30% raise in many industries. Many of my students have done that.

I’m kinda curious what a developer with a couple years experience and making his own company would be able to demand back in the states. I think “apprenticeship “ isn’t a thing in tech. Things change quickly and companies don’t want to pay

I still feel like if UFOs really were able to one: fly here and two: mess with us, they would just kill us off and take our planet. Or enslave us. It's what we would probably end up doing.

Yeah. I guess if portability is a plus, that would be better than an iMac. I move once a year so that wouldn’t really be a problem for me, but if you need a Mac for portability, why not just get a MacBook? I think the Mac mini is at an awkw

Doesn’t really work for China though. Plenty of public toilets around, and people (mostly children) will still take a shit in the street. Hell, I was in Chongqing a couple months ago and saw a teenager literally unzip, in full view of every

I’m pretty sure I would rather buy an iMac than a Mac mini. An iMac at least comes with a display, and the base 4K version is competitive in price and features as far as I can tell.

How is renting it out with Airbnb different from an owner just holding onto the property and not living in it? If anything, cities should encourage property owners to rent out spare rooms or empty apartments to tourists to bring in that spe
