Beware a lot of shady employment practices going on in the low-wage sector of NZ, always people getting busted for paying lower than min wage to foreigners. I've personally never seen a kiwi working at either Subway in my city, and i g

In 2020-1 we've seen people making 100%+ returns on ridiculous investments everywhere, so i can see how certain people are falling for to-good-to-be-true schemes.

I think 'Trust the soyence bro' and labeling anything negative about vaccines a conspiracy theory is probably what convinces people on the fence to become anti vaxxers.

This is also prevalent on those very scripted SNL-type 'comedy' channels that always make it to the front page, or vaccine safety videos (YouTube keeps showing me these videos of black people taking/administering vaccines in

Fake astroturfing can be pretty effective, IIRC a tech bro had a bunch of fake Russian twitter accounts follow a republican candidate which generated significant fake news about this candidate being helped by Russia.

Transfers in and out would cause huge source-of-funds type compliance issues and fraud problems, as well as support tickets from users setting the wrong fees and getting scammed. They would've bought something like Bitpay long ago if p

So in addition to fleecing me on USD -> AUD with a rip-off exchange rate, they're adding an extra step for users of their fake BTC as well. But really multiple steps because you have to actually buy the fake BTC through PP first. Th

As someone who lost $5m ether in a boating accident, being able to sell a random jpg to an anonymous entity for $5m ether has been a life saver.

My take is that needing on/offramps proves crypto (and coinbase) is nothing but a huge casino at this point. I've been involved for 7 years and i still can't spend my crpto directly or without some serious gymnastics involved

You can redeem stable-coins like True USD or PAX to a US bank account after passing KYC, with 1 token=1 USD. You can redeem up to 60k/day on PAXOS for a $20 flat fee per redemption, on tier 1 KYC. It also works the other way, so they a

The only promise of bisq is to be woken up at 6am one day with police kicking down your door. That's where criminals go to offload their non-privacy coins for Monero and to drain grandma's bank account.

Gotta be rewarded for your crypto price-boosting tweets somehow. Directly buying and selling btc would be too obvious, just get some anonymous entity to do it for you, then pay you via your silly blockchain artworks.

This must be the 4th time ive seen this app linked here and every time i go to use it THERE IS NO WORKING PRODUCT THAT I CAN USE. Also the hipster tone from the founder of this app makes me cringe every time because it seems very forced.

But that 49% is constantly being victimized by big tech. Politics aside, there's money to be made targeting products to this group. (For a company with competent devs ofc, don't need another Parler disaster.)

My experience on mobile is that after viewing a subreddit a number of times on chrome it just blocks you and forces you to download the app to view any posts at all. This can be bypassed by using old.reddit.com url.

A 145m sell just sent BTC down 13k. It's not so easy to just sell your ~30b worth of buttcoin. If anything it's shocking that "we checked and it's all fraud" is seen as a win for crypto.
