offtopic.com which had registration closed for a large amount of time in 2002-2003ish? It was still a massive forum but the community kind-of "solidified" and didn't grow larger, for the most part quality was pretty good. It seems to me tha

There is for automatic speed cameras in Australia. I'm constantly bemused by questions that pop up around this subject in the States. It's largely a solved problem here?

I'm guessing it'll be exactly the same in the states as it is in Australia. On the speeding fine you receive in the mail, you indicate that you were not driving at the time and nominate who was. This is a legal declaration. Now you'd think

So they should make it out of rubber because "it'll end up in a case anyway and be fat and heavy and clunky looking"? There is a severe flaw in what you're saying - Apple didn't design the iPad 1, iPad 2 or iPad 3 with a full case in mind ,

Yep, the key is speed, hence why I said "flick". Next time you're in a meeting keep track of how many times you look at someone and back in less than a second. But we have to go through this step before we can advance the technology, so I'm

Until you can flick your "head" in the direction of someone who just spoke outside of your field of vision, these will continue to feel like you're at a meeting in a neck brace.

That's exactly what I don't want to see. Yet another device tied in to Google. For me, all the promise of the Ouya is in doing things independently, not tied to the mission of a corporate behemoth. If corporate behemoths want in, they can d

Agreed. In particular I love their public domain movie archive. It is a crime that with extended copyrights new films won't be added to it any time soon.

A note of caution, this is a translated document. I have no experience with Korean but in Mandarin and Japanese a LOT of subtleties are lost when translated. That said, you're probably right and it probably is a pretty accurate representati

I've nightmares about endless apps having their own updaters. Adobe/Microsoft updaters really are the culprits here. Its this that makes me wish the app store would drop these product-killing restrictions. I don't trust every app developer

I haven't seen the word "directory" widely used amongst laymen since the move from Windows 3.x to Windows 95, where if my memory serves me (I was 9 at the time) Microsoft made the change to "folder" themselves.

To further this goal I'd love to see Apple add paid upgrades. Possibly with a "can't just be bug fixes, must have significant new features" rule. This will probably happen when one of the big Apple Mac app store apps needs an update. Apertu
