My goal wasn't to completely quit. The goal was to keep my caffeine intake less than or equal to 400mg (the FDA's recommended max) and to cut it off at 2pm. I didn't cold-turkey cut off caffeine. I stopped getting acute head

It very much depends on the brand. I was initially buying the Monster drinks at a local gas station where I believe they were $3.25. Eventually I transitioned to the Aldi brand which was I think around $1.

I was drinking the sugar free energy drinks, so I wasn't getting a ton of sugar. Still not saying it's healthy but it wasn't because of too much sugar.

Probably. As I said, I've always hated coffee so I've never really had any desire to consume large quantities of it, so I can't speak to that. I will say, though, energy drinks do become a relatively expensive addiction.

There certainly is kind of a different culture around people who chug energy drinks compared to people who drink coffee. Energy drinks in the fridge at a job sort of signals that this company is part of that "grindset hustle culture&qu

I have always hated coffee so I've previously had some kind of energy drink in the morning for weeks at a time. Those suckers are bizarrely addictive. It's one thing to have one shortly after you wake up, but I found myself cravi

Yeah, I guess I always just found it miserable to work on. When I worked at a BigCo [1], our project was a big monorepo in Java which had 60,000 folders , and I don't remember how many files. It was decidedly no fun to work on, becaus

I don't agree with that though. I've written plugin systems for stuff I've worked on, and it didn't require nearly the same level of verbosity. Granted, I usually have done this with sockets instead of directly using JVM

I've said this before but I'll say it again: The worst part of Java is Java programmers. For most of my career, I thought I hated Java, primarily because every piece of Java code I had ever worked with was overly verbose across a

I've never used Lean, but as stated Isabelle has a code exporter as well; I was working with the Haskell exporter when I was doing grad school, and obviously Haskell is directly executable. It's a pretty neat thing, though it

I'm not familiar with any general purpose TLA+->regular code exporter. I think there are a few proof of concepts but as far as I'm aware nothing that has been seriously suggested for production. I do audit the code it genera
