Overall dollar for dollar it's even or in the black for Fidelity for what it's worth because of the massive Uber write ups. Seems like a non-event to me, people just want to believe these valuations are insane. Are you really feel

Housing in New York City and San Francisco is a problem - MASSIVE. Airbnb has helped many people in those cities find places to stay, make extra income, etc. I'm certain, because of the reasons the problem exists in the first place, th

I do think it's sustainable - you need to kind of see the house to understand, but they get 19 rooms into a building that would normally have 14 or 15. They can do this because of the way they organize common space all onto 1 floor, li

I'm moving into a Common in a few days. I'm paying about $250 a month more for a much nicer place with month to month flexibility than my friends living in a tiny 3BR with a 12 month lease. All in with utilities/internet/

We've known about the chemistry lab for years, possibly forever? I knew about it when I was there. Making this into a story has been really weird to watch.

Lots of good answers on here, but I'll just add the minus the horrible Starbucks deal (which may have been worth a shot, but is killing them now) they're very close to being profitable and may achieve that very shortly.

What do people use to save? I use Qapital, I know a lot of people like Digit. I know they can't foundationally help the problem but they can help a lot of people who are capable of saving but aren't - which I would suspect is prob

This makes the most sense to me. This kind of innovation was going to happen, would it be centralized or decentralized? For now looks like the latter, made sense to fund both models.

Exactly. I feel like it's not worth arguing with someone taking this dogmatic approach, but a company that really wants to be in litigation with you will do what it can to convince lawyers and judges (who don't really know how the

Hard for me to imagine Stripe at anything short of a $20-$30b company, so yeah $5b seems super cheap. To me though, I'm bullish on them though I understand that.
