I’m surprised to hear that, because my understanding is that all the major broadcasters have a blanket licence to play all music (from major record labels). They can just stick a top 40 hit in the background of a soap without planning for i

Are they allowed to work together, eg they could vote to join some kind of union, maybe it’s just limited to free trade at first but slowly and with popular support gains powers from the sovereign governments? I don’t think city states will

That could be analysed. What’s the average length of clip of Trump/WH talking on the various news networks and total per hour on the subject. It’s measuring the quantitative part.

What if I’m enthusiastically against censorship and enthusiastically for deplatforming in cases like Trump? Which makes me strongly dislike the news in the post.

Then it’s a sign that they haven’t open sourced their extension, which is a red flag. Minification may be acceptable though pointless.

I believe there’s a very narrow link between the specific thing you practise in the game and any real life use of that. Nearly every game is gamified too much to be useful in this way. The n-back games may be an exception.

Targeted ads are harder to tune out. I'd rather spend minimal effort on discarding those parts of the screen. I think the greater harm done is in the information collected for it to be called personalised. Once it's accurately per

Confidence to spend not hoard. Traditionally that’s just private money, but Keynesian and modern monetary theory extend it to public money too. Possibly over simplified.

Not quite. The stockpiles may be huge but the time they will last is still fairly short, something like twice the just-in-time schedule they had before. Not taking into account the extra needs of Christmas. We don’t know how long it’ll take

Three days ago he said it would be inhumane to cancel Christmas. Today he said the data from the last 72 hours forced a change. Johnson is an oaf, but covid has kept him fairly serious. His waffling bumbling act was dropped.

For Apples previous transition, 32bit to 64bit Intel, there were seamless universal apps made with the lipo tool, or Xcode config. It sounds like the same is still possible with an intel+arm binary. Microsoft have considered their arm deskt

EU directives such as GDPR come into power by being localised and enacted, ie made into UK law. The data protection act 2018 will cover us up until it’s reversed, which is what some of us fear.
