I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I think you are suggesting a very poor solution to argue that no one wants to have the problem solved? Maybe there are good solutions waiting to be discovered. I think it’s abundantly clear that lots of or

I’m just sample size = 1. I switched to telecommuting during the pandemic, which let me move away from the city. Instead of taking public transportation to the office and walking to the store, I now walk to the (home) office and take the c

For some people, if they are invited to a discussion, they believe their job is to talk. If they don’t know the topic well or don’t have an opinion on it, they will instead talk about something they do know and care about.

c-baby’s suggestion wraps a non-promise in a promise, so I don’t see how that’s still able to return a non-promise. Awaiting plain values can only be done inside an async function, which means it returns a promise, which means you have to w

Not as if . You’re making a synchronous call async. And so it keeps spreading through your code. Op’s trick is certainly more complicated but looks like a smart way to support async cases but still letting synchronous calls stay synchronou

Very nice. I love these little innovations, it’s exactly the type of design ideas that makes me want to try an app. I wonder if it’s an intentional easter egg that the keyboard shortcuts in the popover spell out “bischl”… which is more than

Looking at js/lil.js I first thought it was a minified file, then realized it’s probably not optimized to save bytes, but to save pixels on the screen, to fit more of the code at a glance. I find it surprisingly appealing and feel a li

There were at least two errors in the video demo, and that was just 15 seconds of audio. “I can take some notes from a meeting” was transcribed as “I can take some notes from meeting”, and “I click stop [recording]” ended up as “And click t

Interested if you could elaborate on this, as someone who’s never used Bootstrap as I don’t really see the point if you are implementing a custom design anyway. What is the elevator pitch for basing this on Bootstrap?

No, that could definitely happen. Not sure how to estimate how many duplicates there would be. It would have to depend on the specific puzzle you started with.

I always thought it would be a fun prank to create a book of sudokus that were all permutations of the same puzzle. See how long it would take for someone to notice that they are solving the same puzzle over and over again.

That’s understandable! Are there specific constraints you are thinking of? I did a simple implementation of RPC for workers a few years ago, but it would be really nice to get the import transforms Telefunc handles for you.

Not sure why this is downvoted, I think it’s exactly right. A huge part of what makes music feel meaningful is the parasocial relationship with the artist, and the cultural context the music captures and expresses.
