Just adding a datapoint. I run a SaaS where people can run their own (Javascript) code. The first thing I did was block any Coinhvive script as those were the first obvious abusers of the service. Coinhive is now, for me at least, always as

Probably a mix. Most if not all Dutch have one normal bicycle. Multiple per household. This would probably be an addition.

Again, this is a pretty though thing to do fairly as what is fair is basically subjective.

Should there be some kind of “shit list” or “toxic list” for tech companies? Admittedly, public shaming & blaming is tricky if you don’t know the context, and faking a Slack screenshot is trivial (not saying the one here is fake). I gue

hard problem to crack, but the reasoning in the "Standard pay eats away at production and personnel" paragraph is a bit simplistic. It's not explaining or supporting the "why". It is just stating the obvious.

I have a Kindle. I read mostly hard science fiction and popular science. However, Amazon’s recommendation thing always shows me women’s romance novels, Danish crime and period dramas.

The "Spill-over" effects are a great observation. In previous teams I had at least 1 or 2 guys I would really not trust remotely. They just needed fairly constant motivation and for lack of a better word "baby sitting".

Yes, there is a $$ cost in the trial period. In my case they use cloud resources (lambda time mostly). But there is also the "clogging" of analytics pipelines, reports and overview in general. If for every geniune paying business

If someone offered the advice "just follow these steps and you'll be successful" I would classify that as "snake oil". Or being a crook. Most books in this category that I've read ("zero to one", &quo

Anyone selling/providing such a guide is probably deluded or, in worst case, a crook. There could certainly be a guide to “creating a startup”. The “successful” part makes it a bit hairy though.
