It's not that easy. Especially when it comes to illegals or criminal immigrants, the democrat position would be the extreme left in Europe. Closed border, for example, is something all European parties but the extreme left could agree

Make sure you're not the only person who can work with your code. Make yourself easily replaceable, on a project level. Otherwise you will get calls during your vacation; you may not be able to work on other projects, switch teams or e

As a software dev, without having any knowledge about quantum physics, reading about 'delayed-choice' particles, I'd say they are using some kind of lazy evaluation. Maybe the universe is actually a software simulation...

In order to get huge debt you need to be able to demonstrate a high income potential, high enough to convince the creditor to lend you that kind of money. If you have huge debt, it's likely you can pay it off sooner or later. Also, yo

No, not necessarily. Cash flow matters more than debt. Spending all the money that you earn and keeping your net worth at 0 is actually a great way to live (at least until you retire). Being born into a family with huge debt is likely givin

We're talking about copyright laws. Not about slavery, apartheid, or anything even close to it. There is no one's life at stake and there is no urgency. If you want to change copyright laws, you are free to use the democratic proc

I think 'standing up to power' is something that is justified under extreme circumstances, but we're talking about copyright laws in a democracy here, not about saving people's life in a dictatorship. You may not like th

No one here doubts that he was well-meaning and good at heart. He was just very young, extremely naive, and seemingly incapable of seeing what he did from another perspective, which lead to the whole tragedy. I would call the whole thing a

"Why does it look like the level of fear in Western Europe is so much higher today than in the 1970s and 1980s?" I can only answer for Germany, but I doubt the level of fear was lower at the height of the RAF in the 70s/80s.

Same here. To me, alcohol tastes like a detergent. Maybe you could get used to over time, but never had the desire to. So I am nearly 40 and have never been drunk.

I believe it is rather a European thing to think that providing service to others is demeaning, instead of just being thankful for the waiter's service.

Even if the service is not part of the experience, bad service can easily ruin it. If you need to wait several minutes before someone gives you a menu, then you need to wait another 5 minutes before you can order and then again you wait ano

US immigration can be complicated, but if there is nothing that would raise flags in your passport, why don't you give it a try for holidays so you know what you are missing (and what not)? It's at least an interesting experience.

Why? Sorting strings is a far more common thing to do than just sorting numbers, so it makes sense to use simple string comparisons as the default algorithm. Rather than come up with something that first evaluates the types in the list and

That's not how I would do it in Minified. I'd rather set up the event handler when creating the table row, one at a time, using the element factory (EE() or clone()) onCreate handler. Because otherwise you'd have to store dat

That's certainly true, but for what kind of use case do you need 1 million rows? It think that 1000 is already a lot, and if you exceed this, maybe it's better to design the app in a way that you need fewer rows...

Where's the difference? Admittedly I don't know that function in jQuery very well, but I though it would register a 'click' handler for every tr, just with the difference that it passes the parent tbody instead of the tr
