No, because web apps had the same abilities and those were allowed. The reason Flash was blocked was because it was always going to be a poor experience and Apple sells great experiences.

They only need to store the changed part, and the firmware thing was always a thing, also back when it was possible to roll back updates. This reads like Microsoft’s ‘the old new thing’ where they make up excuses for choices made by Microso

This is not about nipples, it’s about the next pandemic, can’t have all that wrong-think that doesn’t agree with the ‘scientific’ consensus decreed by the government!

Well it’s about a computer from 40 years ago! That’s why I don’t see what’s so special; any computer from that era that still works today could easily run for a hundred days.

Wow expectations sure have come down! When that computer was new, people had uptimes measured in years, 100 days was pedestrian.

I do have that feeling so your claim is false.

That’s slightly over 100 days of uptime. How is this special?

Apple is going to make drastic changes, because they are only minimal changes they make all the time. Sure. We’ll see what the future brings.

It would be more useful to have some actual statistics comparing this to human drivers instead of scare pieces. Because accidents did happen before.

No the argument would be: ‘we can’t sell the products we want to make in this market, so we’re not going to.’ This isn’t some kindergarten ego fight, it’s about Apple making the products they make and not being forced into making products t

If you consider Europe (not the EU by the way) a market, and China, Japan and the rest of Asia separate markets, yes. But Apple can definitely afford to drop that market, they make their own rules and everyone that invests in them knows it

I see two options: * this turns out a lot less exiting than people want it to be * a lot of companies are just going to leave the EU market I don’t think Apple is going to produce a Fairphone, and combined with the charger meddling and the

You’re comparing a regular bicycle to an e-bike. Groningen has a lot of students who can’t afford an e-bike, Amsterdam has a lot of yuppies who can.

Recovering the bike and thus not promoting theft is also a value.

I’m not dying on your hill of non-sequiturs, don’t worry. It turns out the remark this is all about is something in the setup of this repository, not by the original authors of the code. My comment was assuming it was. If so, the remark wou

I really dislike framing people from different eras as homophobes. Back when this was written this was seen as just a joke, no harm intended, no homophobia involved whatsoever.

All your arguments do not change the fact that it is still possible for reasonable people to simply disagree with you, and it is not a valid argument to put up straw men to take down, just like you’re doing again here, this time anyone agai

It seems like the moderators turned out to be much more expendable than they thought so they fell in line to be able to cling on to their powers, rather than be replaced.

Even assuming your study is true, the argument against irreversibly treating children is still a reasonable position and not the shallowly insulting straw man argument you present as the only option.

To me it doesn’t seem to make sense to first claim that you can’t filter for salt in water, and then talk about semi permeable membranes and osmosis. Those membranes are filters for salt!

Apple compiles the baseband firmware itself, they have control and it’s really doubtful they’d allow the network to just listen in. This is more likely about the use of spyware that is installed on the phone using vulnerabilities in the OS.
