The most interesting fact was that Iceland was 40% forested when settlers arrived. I'm not sure their goal is to return to 40%, but certainly a long way to go at 2.6% 20 years from now.

Because the FAANG tech companies often have programs that reward top contributors. My guess is the people who judge the contributors have a preference for those who take the company line the most often which just turns those forums into an

Great article. There wasn’t much legislators did to combat the too big to fail banks, but the Durbin amendment was certainly an effective boost for small banks to compete for Fintechs. It’s why Chase’s Jamie Dimon is now so vocal about chan

I think what the author meant to say is to ignore your critics. No one ruined the author's love of cooking other than the author taking their statements to heart.

I previously worked for a SaaS provider who had the fastest API for both ingress and egress in our space. The egress often made migrating off far faster than when we migrated competitors in, but we never got in the way of egress speeds.

No, I definitely wasn't saying that. My point is that people are generally pretty oblivious of the vast majority of facts and features of their electronics devices.

I see what they are saying. I'm still not sure it is a useful data point other than to say the index isn't detrimental. My conclusion from the report is that it is still too early to determine the impact of the program.

I find this statement hard to believe: "76% of those people that in 2021 purchased a new device and indicated to have noticed the index." It just doesn't jive with the real world understanding most people have of their techno

I use Eero Secure on my home network with handful of custom policies (i.e. oldest kid can use discord, youngest cannot) plus Apple's Screen Time for their devices when they're off the home network. It generally works, but also the

I love that the first comment to this post is this from the author: "I was expecting more comments about this." Clearly a post designed to be provocative more than anything else. It's just not that interesting or novel. The i

I understand that governments prefer a standard and may want to avoid proliferation and vendor lock-in, but I'm still not convinced this is something that needs to be legislated. When the next version of USB comes out will we then have

Agree that there is a way to have a healthy company with motivated, engaged staff without targeting employees based on their age. IBM has been broken for so long. They'd be best off spinning RH back out and just selling everything unti

The problem with chat is that every big tech company is only interested in "winning" vs driving usage. Google would be better off fighting for open standards to improve their position in this market. Open standards in the 70s, 80s

Please do your best to make this piece balanced. First, there are definitely a ton of success stories so make sure you have more than a few of this. Second, you should also get some good and bad stories from traditional student loan holders
