I learned on Joe Rogan that ionic engines have one atom sharp tip, honed constantly by the plasma flow. One atom sharp razor would be awesome. You will notice the cut only by the sound of your detached finger hitting the bathroom floor.

I thought I had CP/M source code for Osborne-1. But no, I have only inch-thick listing of BIOS. And it did not matter, one always used direct Bios-calls for speed. CP/M was not actually needed for this implementation, it could boo

Luckily Europe has endless resource of renewable energy. And that is peat. Finnish peat fields alone surpass oil reserves of Norway. Also money-vice. Gas generation from peat is simple process.

Did they mention "metric" chips and circuit boards? Soviets were using 2.5 mm pitch instead of 2.54 mm. So parts were not interchangeable and there was no much international demand for non-standard components. In 1970s Soviet SN74

BTW. In urban environment there are plenty of horizontal lines pointing to the vanishing point. Thus it is totally possible to make a camera app, which calculates your position from the sun alone. This might make total sense in Urban Warfar

My Bad. "Parallax Correction" was for the camera's altitude (or photographers height). The atmospheric correction was something else.

Forgot the bloody atmospheric distortion. But no worries, Astropy has estimate for that too, know as "parallax correction".

Two pictures 10 minutes apart of sun close to the horizon (and UTC Timecode) is all you need. Python Astropy gives also size of the sun (i.e. photo scale), so you have everything you need to reverse this function. def sun_angle(mon,da

Some of us have "too good" navigational skills. When bicycling Australia I started to bike "West" from Brisbane airport and was very confused when I ended by the ocean. I had to think very hard wherefom the sun shines an

That was the most annoying part of bicycling Americas 50 years ago. Those slices dried up too easily or turned into mush. In Boulangeries of France they had bread-slicing machines, but you often managed to stop the operation beforehand.

Obvious derivative would be two cores inside each other. Outer core follows the inner core some ten degrees and the opportunity to test pins is gone when you tension the inner core. This might be more robust than that sliding thing. Except

Achually methinks Steve Mould mostly said, this is a handy way to support your favourite artist. The ticket and art you get maybe of value later, but megarich sponsors seldom see art as particular investment.

I have also nslambda , which take only one argument. I think the macro in some ancient lisp was also like that. My macroes are called mlambda because of this confusion.

My Bad. I have special nlambda , which does not evaluate anything at any stage. It was originally for testing macros without macroexpand, which expanded too much.

Old lisp makers rule was "macro is like lambda, but with one extra eval in the original environment". In other words: if your function is able to produce (+ 1 2), same function produces 3, when used as macro.

OTH BTW. Solar panels on marine beacons and cellphone towers on Arctic Ocean lay most often flat pointing upwards. No point of trying to catch the sun at all. Scattered light from clouds can be upto 10-20%, better than nothing.

Imagine those panels at 70th parallel. Even at midsummer the sun is at 40 degrees. You could get 100% and 24 hours, if those panels were angled towards horizon and on rotating platform. But Nooo, we have to do as law lays. -- Or maybe we ca
