I still think that it became "worse" over time although and that's started to happen way before Trump. I February 2002 I traveled to NYC and back then I had a glaring visa stamp from Iran on the first page of my passport. At

Something along these lines (although by far not that bad) happened to me when I traveled to NYC for vacation of New Years Eve 2016/2017(this was before Trump took office). At the border control I was asked to follow the officer and wa

Word! I think AMD should focus on OpenBLAS and add support for their new CPUs there. OpenBLAS is part of the foss toolchain for the easybuild easyconfig. So for the HPC field adding support to OpenBLAS would be great. I would also need to

Yeah I can imagine that setting up a multi-node deployment on AWS might be an issue. Fortunately for openstack there is a redhat maintained heat template that should hopefully make the installation quite straightforward (but haven't t

We are evaluating Openshift Origin on an existing OpenStack on-premise cloud. So far I have been playing around with the oc cluster up deployment on a local workstation and it works fine but I haven't played around with the CI/CD

You can check out polymer-redux ( https://github.com/tur-nr/polymer-redux ). It's makes it easy to integrate the redux store inside your components. Basically you will split up your components in two types: 1.) cont

I use both, well not so much Webstorm, but IntelliJ for Java/GWT application stack and Visual Studio Code for almost everything else (Python, JS, etc). Works pretty well, although I think I could increase productivity if I align the ke

Yeah ultimately it depends on what you try to achieve. If you wan to reduce weight/bodyfat (note that there is a difference between these two), it's mostly all about whether you are in caloric deficit or not. IF helps with that b

Sorry for the crosspost/copy-and-paste: For me personally this worked quite well for reducing bodyfat: Intermitted fasting[1] and lifting weights 3 times a week[2] and being on a cutting regime[3] (cutting on the rest days with low car

Correct me if I am wrong, but I though the chopstick gene example has more to do with population structure confounding than with the heritability of the trait? For example one could make a similar example with malaria resistance and skin co

I am wondering if you did a cost analysis. Last time I checked a dedicated on-premise HPC was still cheaper than using the cloud. Actually the CPU hours are cheaper in the cloud but data-transfer (bandwith) and storage make it more expensi

I am curious. Usually in numpy basic linear algebra are delegated to BLAS and potentially really fast if configured to use a fast BLAS implementation (OpenBLAS, MKL, etc). Does the numpy fork of PyPy use the same approach ?
