Hit the secondhand market is usually cost effective. People upgrade all the time thinking its getting to help them make better music (it usually doesn't). The practice with what you have. Getting good at recording takes years.

I cut a hole in the back of my living room furniture so that the AV receiver sticks out the back and seeing as rooms often have skirting boards it gives me the few extra centimeters needed. Obviously not the route for everyone!

It’s probably the wrong product for you. I like my Mikrotik devices as it doesn’t hide anything and is crazy configurable for the price. I run my VPN server on a different device, I can understand why you might want to run it in your router

If you are building software for others to consume it is a good idea to have at least some protection. Even it doesn’t ever pickup MacOS malware/virus - it might stop you from distributing that intended to infect other target OS or sof
