Vertasium has a great video talking how Tit-for-Tat (Copycat) wins as a strategy (and how there was a math competition that proved it as well) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mScpHTIi-kM --- This seems like a nice rebuild o

How would you compare Ruby/Rails to Elixir/Phoenix these days, based on completeness of framework, language performance, concurrency, etc?

I’ve been afraid of this as well. Which is why I try to treat LLMs like a “calculator” to check my work. I do things myself, then after I do it myself - ask an LLM to do the same. That way, I’m still critical thinking and as a result - I ac

You can see Ruby core perf improvements at the link below, going back 4-years. Even though this is from the YJIT folks, they include the non-jit improvements as a comparison. https://speed.yjit.org/history.html

Slightly OT: Why aren't AI coding assistants implemented as plugins (like through an LSP), rather than being a standalone AI-first editor (like Cursor)? I might be missing the obvious, and I get no standard exists, but why aren't

Slightly OT: how does the money from fines get used by the government that issued the fine? e.g. does it go into funding data privacy related activities/work?

Electron? Isn't Microsoft migrating all of their Office apps over to WebView2 (their version of Electron). If so, I wonder how much of this is related to that than anything else?
