I don't see anything wrong with it if you actually know what all that (being a supposed "rockstar" in a field) entails. It only annoys me when I hear it thrown around in general conversation by folks who have no clue what a "insert-program

There's definitely a benefit to doing that. Didn't have to pay this year, so I took part of my refund and got a new MacBook Pro.

Sure, they got us all to talk about the lovely site they've built, but I'm not entirely convinced of the premise. Indeed, there are criminals that would take the time to stake out someone's house just by checking up on their Foursquare che

I never willingly played with Barbies as a kid (I sold my last 6 at a yard sale my mom had when I was like 8 or 9), but I do believe I'll be buying this one--even if she just stays in the box.

Teach them how to make a game of some sort. Something really simple like hangman in BASIC would teach them a few different things all at once and still have a fun result.

Not necessarily. If you're being followed by 7,000 "people" who really turn out to be just Twitterfeed dumps and folks trying to sell you something, that's a useless set of followers. If you have 1,000 followers where a good portion of th

I'm always terribly suspicious of ATMs--especially those off-brand ones that pop up in random establishments that don't take debit cards nowadays. I understand some businesses just don't want to pay the fees behind accepting debit cards, b

For a lot of the women I know, it's lack of interest. If they're really good, they learn to get over the chauvinism and laugh it off. ;)

Clock indeed does start ticking. I remember some patent lawyers I talked to during college saying you had a year after disclosure to get your application together. The sooner the better, obviously.
