   Good advice. This is not CA, but my understanding of state law here is that I will not be eligible for unemployment if I resign or if I'm terminated for gross misconduct. Unlikely that they can claim gross misconduct given the circumst

   I don't believe they have any reason to fire me for cause. Also throwaway account for obvious reasons.
