Of course there were itanic-targetting compilers, they worked, just not well enough to deliver on marketing promise (edit: and what the hardware was theoretically capable of).

I think you're right about the touchpad, it's my understanding they removed scrollbar visibility because of that input style, however ATM I'm using windows and and I have a trackball with a scroll wheel and I very regularly l

Things are bad not in absolutes, which you are suggesting, but in degree. Contrary to your flat statement I do not agree that taking heroin is bad, it only becomes bad when it affects other people negatively.
