UIs are not hard! They tale some skills and a certain personality type, which most of us are or can become, but the bottom line is to test out various ideas and listen to your users. Over 50% of it is simply that. UIs are NOT hard!

Personal view here, articles like this talking about emotions etc. are a UI guy trying to justify themselves by suggesting there is some greater depth. I don't really do much by way of UIs but one thing I am certain of is users use u

This is the kind of post that appears when drugs come up. It's personal opinion, without any facts, strong on unfounded typically assertions and word-weaseling ("..when an objective observer...") and ignores what has been don

The first link is very reminiscent to a CD of native australian aborigine music, even quite similar at some points. I'd like to know if the inuit or aboriginal people see music in the same way we do, as an entertainment[0], or somethin

Because building in a parser is inappropriate; it isn't generally worth it. You use a separate tool or framework, you don't build it into a language.

Well, this is (one of my) areas so here goes. DSLs are a concept, not an implementation. As implemented they can vary from chained procedure calls to actual sub languages with lexers and parsers (and I tend to consider the latter to be &
