The pollution thing I understand, and the worst part about the US system is it allows the greedy psychopaths at the strings of large multinationals to go unchecked. How is posturing to take over the peaceful island of Taiwan a protective ac

Uh that's not even what I'm saying. Of course Europe itself contributed to it's success and wellbeing too. I was saying the alternative of Nazi or Soviet influence probably would not have turned out as well. Also using your t

China pollutes more than the US. Also anybody can see that they are gearing up for a conflict to obtain hegemony. They are the ones posturing for inevitable conflict... just so they can gain more power over the world. Look at countries that

Yeah good point. Thought provoking on the idea of what a "corporation" can become these days, especially from a multinational standpoint...

You're just talking about the semantic term itself? I mean there would be a group of people who start working together and growing organically... because of the gain in efficiency through individual specialization. So idk what you'

Obv you need to fudge your experience a bit on paper, just to get past the tech-illiterate recruiters. Most reasonable managers that have good experience will understand that if you've operated in one language within a paradigm (OOP, e

No, in a truly free market the corporations can just pass on the negative externalities of their actions without any consequences if the other actors don't understand the negatives. Ex. Price of oil doesn't count in future damages

Yeah 100%. I'm in my second job out of school working at a big bank in tech. It's mindnumbingly uninteresting to me. And I also don't think it does anything to help society. Though sometimes the technical problems fit the bil

Roughly how much did you save up? I just turned 27 and am also in NYC. Have 85k cash. Just wondering. But yeah, I would ease into it like the others said. If you have a well-paying job that you kind of like, that's not a bad thing. Me
