The whole thing really reads as mental illness to me. I bet he had it under control for the most part, but things worsened as the trip went on. One of the biggest reasons for quitting mental illness drugs is due to the feeling that everyth

I used to think I was losing my ability to remember things due to the amount of information I was taking in. I no longer think this is true and was simply my own worry. I do review certain things I want to remember in my downtime, but I do

I read it as "this feature is premium specifically because it is not free." Businesses are under no obligation to offer basic services for free, even if they did in the past. If this is good for business is different, but YouTube

Sounds like .us needs to be handled like .com was before those services even existed - either fake info or a free/cheap Voip line.

I fully agree, but I wonder what it will take to start this trend. Do any big sites allow you to pay for no tracking/not being the product?

Its such a weird thing. After a while, you begin to wonder if you just learned to work around it. I too bad a similar experience, just s/snowboad/motorcycle/.

You aren't alone. My Mom went full on conspiracy with FB. She was always a little nutty, but its let her take it to a new level. I once told her "You better not make me watch you die over this (antivaxx/antidoctor)"

I think the line in the sand that a lot of people draw is when the web went from requiring skills to access vs being made easy for most people.

I think IRC still has in depth communication is due to the fact that there is a barrier to joining. All these apps are trying to be easy, without realizing there's sometimes something good with being hard.

If that's true, you can almost guarantee a cottage industry of doctors writing off label scripts.

Sociopathic people can be very functional. The label simply has to do with your internal feelings and responses. How you handle real life is up to you. Most people that get these labels don't want go feel special. In fact, most are

This happened to me, but I've never thought of myself as sociopathic. Rather, I grew up in a situation that required me to repress my feelings, and MDMA was a gateway to breaking down the giant wall I had, unknowingly, built up.

These are truly the worst. I remember management being very upset when they switched from hipchat to slack as they no longer had such fine grain controls over visibility. Its somewhat inconceivable to me that, by now, they haven't rea

I remember being in High School and they asked who was going to college. I didn't raise my hand and was then publicly put on the spot to explain why not. Worked out okay for me, but I respect both paths.

I once thought about making a script that automated git actions which would show you as active, but not actually do anything. Turns out theres too much real work to do to make it!

True, but anyone mildly determined can get a two year old device, 0day the baseband, and have full access. I remember old iOS exploits that gave access to the full baseband as well.
