People pay for 2fa and password management. Granted the model of payment for those is usually shifted, but there could have been a sold product on the store. I would pay for the Adblockers I use, but just donate instead (when possible.)

The CDC just said yesterday that they confirm airborne transmission, and from the case of the choir whom was 6 feet apart, it sure makes it seem beyond one table worth.

Quality wise, you could not buy Bose. I can tell the difference on my BT Sennheiser headphones depending on the bitrate. However the latency is real.

True, and if gui libraries stuck with common widgets that were cross platform, we would already have a long term native cross platform GUI toolkit.

The successful cross platform apps usually are in a space where having a non-native GUI is accepted.

Maybe not, but manipulating emotions is proven to have happened, and that seems pretty dangerous. Then it's the next mental hop to having the gov push their agenda that way.

Only allowing one time downloads seemed reasonable to stop 1 and 2 stage payloads. Doesn't help exfiltration, but theres so many options for that anyway. One time downloads may be annoying for non-web savvy people, but seemed like a

I didn't think about exfiltration - good point. I guess they could just host their own instance on <insert compromised server here> like the good old days.

On other projects, we solved this by incorporating virustotal checking. Sure, a 0day or custom malware may get through, but thats a small number at the end of the day.

I traveled in Europe with a combo of an iPad Mini and, in some countries, a burner. It was a good choice at the end of the day.

Good ideas - for a while, before I had to switch it for work, I seperated work/fun by which OS I was on. Queue me picking up working on a new project and it changed that.

Then you make a vm or whatnot and install all the old versions of everything. I haven't seen an open source project in a while that doesn't have old versions for download easily. Still, annoying if you can't stand that kind

I ran into this too. Rails has changed a lot in 7 years, even if you don't see it. My friend wanted to learn and somehow found the original demo/getting started page and was frustrated.

Or use the old version of Gradle? It sounds like creating a vm/container/whatever with the old versions of everything is the fastest path, although I understand not wanting to do it after some point.

It depends on the person. Not everyone needs code review to strive for better and know when you're doing poorly. Collaboration is an easy way to get that, but it's not required . The same people that have the personality to le

I know this is late, but a lot of us really want to hire people, but there are a lot of people out there that are overconfident in their skillset, and sometimes you have to do a quick sanity check to weed them out. I agree, though, that mo
