Ohh my, the day I learned this was one of the happiest in all my life. You can also configure this in your .ssh/config with EscapeChar, if you find yourself SSHing into other machines from a machine you're already SSHed into.

Has Brandon made any statements (other than, maybe, the donation) that indicate what his beliefs are? I believe he may have apologized for causing pain to others based on his actions, but I've yet to read anything where he states what

Working on a project that I kind of want to use the same language for the frontend and the backend. There's, obviously, vanilla JS, maybe clojure and clojurescript, but Dart... For some reason I never realized it could be used server s

Currently using MongoDB on a project and boy do I just hate it. We have highly relational data that is a nightmare to reason with and query. Guess what? We also have migrations! It's hard to explain why, but I just get a bad feeling in

Most of React's novelty, I think, comes from the Virtual DOM. Your view spits out a DOM tree using the React.DOM.* objects. The JSX allows you generate the appropriate calls to those constructors by writing something that more resemble

I appreciate the response. I do plan on starting German classes this Spring and, also, visiting Berlin in the later Summer months. If you have any pointers on what the best way to look for work is in this situation, I'd love to hear th

Certainly unrelated to the article, but I've been considering moving from the US to Germany. As I understand it, Berlin has a pretty thriving tech scene and I'm targeting it as my destination (Munich has come up, too). Anyone care

But let's be honest with ourselves. In the case of, say, a "Megan's Law", Megan was an innocent little girl who deserved none of what happened to her. Aaron, on the other hand, entered a networking closet, configured his

I bought the iPhone 5 outright, unlocked and switch to T-Mobile after doing so. In the city (Chicago) the service can't be better. Really like that tethering is just included. LTE tethering has come in handy at a few coffee shops that

Along the same lines, I'm interested in how people handle the case of auto-scaling their web app (or anything that updates frequently via deploys). Is there a better solution than imaging a machine on every deploy and updating the auto

This isn't the same guy that discovered the last Github issue and committed to Rails, is it? The similarities of how this is being handled by the discoverer are pretty eerie.

A while back, while I was a doing Ruby, I remember a discussion that came up regarding moving some of/all of (can't remember) the standard library to Gems so that, as you say, they could "evolve on their own schedule". I
