The biggest thing from RSpec I've missed since switching from Ruby are the describe/it blocks. I felt like they helped you, as you were writing tests, compose sentences that, in the end, should be true about the system under test.

Looking at both the pictures from the Golden Gate and from the Space Needle made my palms sweaty. It's just odd thinking about someone being up there for no other reason than to be there.

It's kind of interesting that if the supplier of the good pandora was pushing was anything but an artist or musician, we'd be totally on their side for trying to get a fair price the goods they're providing. However, since th

It gets me closer to adding value directly, instead of shoehorning my preferred solution onto a problem. But shoehorning my elaborate solution onto the problem is the funnest part. Providing value is easy and boring...

I currently contract at 2 different companies. I have the machines I was given at both running headless and just bring my laptop in and SSH to them to do work (my workflow is tmux/vim based). I then keep 2 separate user accounts on my

This happened with the Puppet type reference search result. Still feel weird clicking it with the guy's picture next to it. Makes it feel like it's his page when I want to believe it belongs Puppet.

This is essentially how App Engine does scheduled jobs. You define the schedule and give it an endpoint in your app to hit. The tricky part with this is that all the limits that come with web requests are imposed on your jobs which may be a
