I find it extremely interesting that they'll be using natural gas as their primary energy source for the campus and using the electrical grid as their backup. Is this really cost effective? Are many businesses doing this?

They also hired Palm's designer of the WebOS notification system last year, so perhaps they already have something in the works. http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/10/06/09/designer_of_no...

My biggest prediction at this point is a revamped notification system, given that they've hired Peter Hajas. http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/11/06/03/apple_hires_ip...

Imagine how hard it would be to manage 8500 independent business. Why would they need to manage 8500 businesses? That's probably the last thing they or the startups want. Give the startup the resources and let them do the rest. So the qu

Why? As an employer, I'm certainly going to give more preference to the kid that was hacking away at his side project trying to build something exciting than I am to the guy who was on vacation for the last two years.

This is one great thing about the software engineering profession, there's really no excuse for not being "employed". Even if you are laid off from your job and can't find work...you can always start a side company or work on a project. Tho

Not always. There are some companies that don't have enough liquidity to effectively make that trade or have no investors willing to lend the shares. Not to mention shorting (or options) aren't even allowed yet on this particular stock.

It shouldn't change how you interpret the stock price growth, but it should change how you interpret the total return of the company. The graph that was shown is misleading because it only represents the share price growth over the last ten
