I have absolutely no issues with this: 1. It's the most scalable way for them to generate revenue without shoving ads down your throat. 2. Skimlinks doesn't "modify" your links, they simply put it through a redirect to see if it affiliates.

I think that their response is also proving a point to the general SEO community that this sort of activity is frowned upon. It's very unlikely that your typical website would get such a harsh punishment for something so small & trivial

These are purely examples, and run off an affiliate basis. There's a bit of education needed in this particular marketplace as to why hosting your own coupons locally is a good idea :)

Outsource the writing, then spend time doing the quality checking rather than the hard yards. That should allow you to scale 2-3x faster & take on more work. The downside is trying to find good contractors who can translate to a standar

I don't think this has anything to do with the Opensearch.xml file, from what I've seen Google is also doing this manually. Previously they have been using the title from DMOZ but, Check out our startup in the SERPS "StoreCrowd" the branded

You make it sound like throwing up a page about a specific keyword will help you rank after x days. That is simply not the case, if I'm building 100 links per month & you're building 0 then my "time to rank" is going to be significantly

Any reason (I can't think of) why they might choose such long URL's for the job listings rather than something short like /positions/air-bnb/ruby-developer-needed/? Just makes the URL's a bit more readable especially if we're sharing them a
