All I really saw is an awkward looking device (sorry TE) that probably wouldn't fit in my pocket, and would probably break if dropped. And whatever they paid for the keynote was a waste of money. If you can't explain how this wor

Long time i3 user (which I still use on my work laptop) but use Pop!_OS on my workstation at home and have to say it works really well. I like how we have open source but wish we had more open collaboration instead of people wasting time r

Buying a car used to be fun. Research, shopping, haggling with numerous dealers. Now it's just a huge pain where whatever you do, you end up feeling ripped off.

Buy a better supported laptop and stick with Linux. Last time I ran Docker on a Mac it was sooo slow. Not sure if they've improved that but something to be aware of... https://nodewood.com/blog/how-to-speed-up-dock

I used cheap notebooks for years but recently switched to an e-ink tablet (supernote) and love it and I feel better about saving a few trees.

Problem with Google Workspace is it's still (!) disconnected from Google and a lot of things don't work like they do with a traditional @gmail account. I run into this all the time and it's so frustrating.

EMPs? Why not just drive by a power station and shoot it a few times. That seemed to be pretty effective and much less expensive and complicated.

Love seeing the lone guy that's always in these giant trucks. Must be fun paying for gas. And those giant off-road tires, yet the vehicles rarely are dirty, much less muddy. Would love Toyota to bring back and actual compact, affordab

What issues do you run into? I run PopOS on an ancient ThinkPad T420 and a new Lenovo P15 - no issues on either one. Wifi works. Decent battery life.

I used a Mac at my last job (normally I like Linux) and found Docker performance dismal. This looks like there has been some improvements - thanks for the write up!

Last job I used a Mac for the first time. It was... OK. But I could really never get comfortable. Current job I'm back on Linux - switched to PopOS from i3 and things are good again :) (and Docker runs sooooo much faster)

What a waste of money. He'll probably use it 2-3 times a year and it'll sit somewhere unused the rest of the time. Also probably actually sails like a pig.
