For this, git was made. Although, its for coders mainly, I don't see why writers can't use it.

This goes for a lot of things. Passion (and therefor interest) is the greatest driving force that keeps you motivated enough to complete a piece.

To answer that, you need to answer whether writing is any different from coding, vacuuming, or learning piano. I code, and write, myself. I have also gotten stuck while coding (and writing). But I have never experienced "coder's b

Very much agree with this. Taking a pause from writing to deal with personal life or any other issues doesn't mean you are not a good enough writer. We are all human. We all need a pause. This goes for all kinds of profession. Health b

Yes! That's the reason we created the Call of Writing app [0]. You can set timer ranging from 1 minute to 60 minutes or 75 words to 1500 words. You can't pause until the end. It's much like (and inspired) the Most Dangerous W

I have tried this and it really works. It's a very messy brain dump but you get it there. Once the words are on the page, you can eventually make sense of them, somehow.

TickTick is cross-platform right? Why use multiple apps? I can barely handle EverNote. If it wasn't as expensive, I'd never think of switching.

I find built-in sync very useful in Evernote but the pricing has been a bit of a challenge lately. I am looking to switch. What would you recommend as a cheaper alternative.

Pretty useless. Can't even find my library called fdir. It has 14 releases. What's the point of this?

Hello everyone, I was recently trying to create a landing page for my OSS side project and wanted to embed a piece of code but couldn't find any "pretty" way to do it. After much searching, I made it work (responsively) so ya

I posted 2 months ago about fdir being a glob alternative. However, at that time it didn't have glob support. I am back again with fdir 3.0. It has been completely overhauled, improving the speed by upto 40% over previous versions, inc

WOW. This is such a fascinating project. (near) zero latencies are relatively hard to achieve especially over network connections. Will definitely try this out once I get the time. Oh and thanks for the various pre-built client libraries, w

You give a very valid reason to tryout an implementation in C++. I will definitely look into it. Thanks. Would love to see the benchmark results! Do share a link if you can. Thanks for auditing and taking the interest!

Hey, thanks for the interest. No, I cannot change the title because I don't have editing capabilities anymore. I don't see the point of implementing it in c++ simply because I wanted to keep it simple, dependency free and easy to

In that case, fair enough. But no reason to be dishearted, we can always make "fdir-glob" that has globbing built in :D but you are right, not an easy* alternative but still an alternative.

How so? You can easily extend the searchFn to do the glob matching of files for you. I wanted to keep it dependency free. So I fail to see how fdir has "absolutely nothing to do with globbing"? Care to explain?

If we subtract the vm time from total time that should (very roughly) be the time taken for fdir to crawl the directory. So basically: 83ms - 55ms = 28ms Not bad, not bad. :D the scale remains the same tho so not that beneficial.

I used `benny`. If you have a NodeJS setup you can easily run the benchmarks by: npm install And then: node benchmark.js That will start the asynchronous and synchronous benchmark sequentially. Thanks for taking the interest.
