I don't believe there's any studies on that. The virus was only discovered at the beginning of December. Most likely they are referencing this study showing 40% of people who had SARS had long lasting effects https://ja

I've worked remotely for 8 years. It's more different than people think. IMO the entire way your team operates needs to be centered around them being remote. The worst is hybrid teams where they are half remote and half in office.

It just reads like an anti-Chinese propaganda piece. Don't get me wrong, I think a lot of Chinese people are very disenfranchised by their government. But a lot of them love it too. But western media always focuses on those that dislik

Kinda the point though. Granted I was married slightly before Tinder became big but from my reading it seems like the biggest issue with these apps is bots. Making people jump through a hop bots can't fixes that problem.

FCC already has a good solution proposed that will probably be implemented in the next several years. Put transponders on all drones that must be registered. Then it's easy to track and ID anyone legally flying. And anything large/

AI and autonomous vehicles don't relate. Driving a vehicle is not an AI problem and none of the serious autonomous vehicle teams are using AI. Unless you are using a super loose definition of AI that includes anything with an if statem

Hackers could hijack a missile and kill a lot of people too. This is why we have security. And honestly modern cars are so computerized already I think your argument applies to them as much as autonomous cars.

I'm a huge believer in the "expert product manager" route. Meaning have one person who talks to all the stakeholders and every type of user. Who just knows your product backwards and forwards. And thus can drive what changes

Absolutely. A/B testing causes way more bad decisions than good ones because people run the tests wrong and they interpret the data wrong. But I've found explaining that to people to be an uphill battle. They get sold on an "

Worst than that. Google only seems interested in huge successes. Things like Google Reader had healthy user bases when Google came for them in the night. They could even sell most of the products they murder to someone else for millions.

My understanding is not that at all. From what I've read the engines that were the whole point of the plan just didn't work physics wise because they were too big for the 737 frame that their required placement moved the center of

Physical location is not really relevant to who owns a node. Most countries allow anyone to setup a company and operate servers. Any government organization with a small amount of resources can setup a front company and turn on a server.

Beyond that there's a fundamental issue that app store monopolies should be illegal. All marketplaces need competition. Apple doesn't have the right to choose what I get to install on my phone.
