I’ve looked at plenty of glassdoor profiles. It’s low for a large company with as many ratings as it has.

This is a situation where the whole e/acc stuff every Silicon Valley bigwig is shouting about got a company in trouble. Push forward at all cost, expand as fast as possible, see regulators as stifling forces not to be trusted or taken

Ecuador and El Salvador both use the US Dollar as their official currency. It isn’t as if there is a lack of precedence when it comes to ditching your own currency for something more stable.

I mean most of the people high up in the company as well as the entire board appear to be fairly junior (early to mid 30s).

That was something to do with a VC fund he was raising. This is news that he plans to start a new company following his firing. Not sure what is misleading about this at all.

There’s 50M-60M people between California and NYC. At this point making “mid six figures” hardly makes you rich. You don’t have to be the top 1% to see a tax rate higher than the one you stated. Point is arguing that Americans are low taxed

Anyone living in California or NYC and making mid six figures and up is easily paying more than German tax rates then. You’re paying almost 50% around high six figure range. I’ve never quite understood why people think the US is a low tax c

long term deflation is bad, but a house going from $400k to $1m back to $600k in a few years isn't "a bad thing". same with rents decreasing.

This is not anything like a VC fund. 700+ positions in mostly large mature companies is so overly diversified that it would be near impossible to deviate too far from S&P or a world index.

I don't really understand their portfolio at all. 700+ positions (comically overdiversified), top 2 holdings is the S&P and an emerging markets ETF that make up 11% of the portfolio. Why does anyone pay a premium for this over hold

There's a couple lawsuits going around aimed at hotels and apartment rental companies using centralized software to effectively engage in legalized price fixing. Probably happening in many industries and we don't know about it at

intermittent fasting isn't long enough to trigger autophagy autophagy takes at least a few days. wouldn't really considered IF to even really be "fasting" at all. it's just a fancy term for skipping breakfast.

That isn't what this lawsuit was about though. The main issue is the listing agent splitting the commission with the buyer's agent, not that the seller has to pay some % of the sale price as a commission.

The main benefit of fasting generally is autophagy (forcing your body to eat dead/old/mutated cells) and increased HGH secretion. Given that cancers are literally mutated cells, forcing your body to do an occasional cell cleanup s

Not sure about CR but prolonged fasts (3 days or so) promotes cell autophagy eg forcing your body to eat dead/old cells and increases HGH secretion.

Asian and Black people basically do not get skin cancer. It wildly depends on your ethnicity. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9345197/#:~:tex...

And what would be the consequence of not wearing sunscreen be exactly? The skin cancer rates are wildly different depending on what ethnicity you are. For Asians and Blacks it's 4% of the rate of Caucasians. In fact it's nearly no

Yes what I think is fascinating is that the younger generation is usually the one to virtue signal about the environment, equity, labor conditions, capitalism etc., but none of that matters when you can get "cheap stuff for cheap"
