I'd advise sharing that knowledge with one trusted person outside your household too, especially if you and your partner have dependants.

It really depends on your use case, doesn't it? I'd say, just use Postgres... until you have a reason not to. We used finally switched to Elasticsearch to power user search queries of our vehicle listings a few years ago, and foun

There was an article posted recently about a new discovery around CSF flows during sleep too. It sounds like yawning causes similar flows, which could maybe explain why you yawn more when tired? It could be a compensation mechanism to provi

I know that's true on a Model S or X, but is it the case on the 3 and Y as well? Those exterior handles seem mechanical (but I could certainly be wrong).

I do wonder if the handle shown in the article's image (from a Model 3 or Y) would actually fall under the ban though. It's flush, but it's fully mechanical and externally operated.

We have a Whirlpool that I love, but they discontinued it a couple years ago with no replacement, and I can't imagine why. I guess most people just shop on price, so it didn't sell. Like I said, a shame.

True, the solar panels would need to be enormous too.

Modern heat pumps are cheaper than oil for heating just about everywhere. They're cheaper than natural gas in most places, unless electricity prices where you live are particularly high.

We somewhat accidentally ended up with a good combo: we have a ventless heat pump dryer, and a heat pump water heater, also in the laundry room. So when doing laundry, the water heater cools the room while the dryer heats it, so they roughl

That's fair. I meant they would need a clear path to open space not blocked by solar panels, but yes, a hot and cold side makes sense. The whole concept is still insane though, fwiw.

That helps with the heat from the sun problem, but not the radiation of heat from the GPUs. Those radiators would need to be unshaded by the solar panels, and would need to be enormous. Cooling stuff in atmosphere is far easier than in vacu

If you find yourself 99.999% sure of almost anything it should be a bit of a red flag to you. If it's based on a hunch without any actual evidence, more so.

The remote machine that was compromised was responsible for Notepad++ updates , so the concern is that it could cause a compromised version of the software to be installed. But if it could do that, it could probably cause anything to be in

Optimus is complete vapourware. The quoted 1M units a year would be utterly unbelievable from any company, let alone Tesla with their history of over-promising.

From the comment you're replying to: "Windows does it better than my mac or Linux boxes by a mile" So I wouldn't assume they've only used Windows. FWIW I also primarily use Windows 11 currently, but have also used o

There is a pessimistic take on that too though. What if the next guy gives you all the corruption and cruelty, without the vanity and stupidity?

I certainly believe he feels less fear. Doesn't mean he wants to die. I'm sure at an intellectual level he enjoys life and doesn't want it to end. I just doubt he gets the innate "nope nope nope" of fear that 99%

Nice thing about Android though is that you have more control to work around this kind of thing if you don't like the default behaviour. I rolled my own night mode with Tasker years ago, before it was built in, and have never looked ba
