I feel there needs to be an expiry date on polls. I'm still getting questions on who's going to win in past football games.

I'm actually so pissed that I almost downvoted your comment after reading that. Disgusting PR speak.

I see where this is coming from, but loosing the convinience of xibs + auto layout is too great to sacrifice for me. Just thinking of how much bigger my view controller code will get makes me shudder.

Why do you support everything except the PC :) As someone prepping for interviews, I'd have loved to give this a shot if it was on the web.

Although I agree that in this case, the NYPD is wrong, I think that governments can keep certain things secret for the good of their people.

First up, Congrats. I've tried the app in a weekend thing myself, but never had enough motivation to pull through to the end. Shipping is hard! As an iOS developer, doing this in a couple of hours is a bit crazy. It'd probably tak

I mean, disgust aside, technically NSA is doing some seriously cool shit. I wonder what you could do if you had access to a de-identified data dump from the NSA.

I was about to bring up the exact same thing. I see some positivies in the the text editor not IDE approach that linux / unix folks take, but I don't find this approach so amazing that programmers need to trade intellisense /

This would only work within gmail though. Non gmail users still will have to manually decrypt any emails they receive.

Hmm, any specific examples? I really like c# as a language. ASP.NET whilst not as new and shiny as Rails etc., it's still moving in the right direction with new additions like WebAPI. And VS is I think one of the best IDEs out there.

I think TouchID is way more useful on the phone which you unlock tens of times daily vs the iPad which maybe you unlock once or twice depending on your usage.

Why not? Vowels are a, aa, e, ee and so on Consonants are kk, gg, rr and so on. kk + a is pronounced ka kk + e is pronounced ke kk with a subscript of rr becomes kr. Kr + a is again kra, kr+e is Kre and so on. Korean seems exactly the same

Agreed. Argument #1: Forcing user to shift cognitive context is bad. Argument #2: In-built browser progress bars are good. If you accept #1, #2 is wrong. If you accept #2, then #1 isn't as big a deal as you say it is.

Can we keep out the usual discussion about the game dev work culture from this one? What EA did there was pretty inspiring.

I wish this did a full laptop display mirroring like AirPlay. Looks like this only works with Chrome, so it looks like I can't rent / download a movie on a different service (say iTunes) and play it on my TV. Bummer.

Awesome, I will try it out. I'm using a private Facebook account + Timeline to achieve the same, but it's a total pain to maintain multiple Facebook accounts.

It's an interesting idea, but you've pushed the privacy vs convenience line too far for me. No way I'm going to give a 3rd party app access to my browser history.

I've actually been toying with the idea of having a private facebook account to hold all this data and more. Facebook's pretty much become the default social layer these days and almost every app can publish data to your news feed. Facebook

I don't understand this line of thinking. People already pay sales taxes in big box stores, so in this case, it's more like the Government is artificially encouraging online businesses and penalizing physical stores. Both kinds of businesse

Related question: From what I understand, all the study is doing is that it's saying on an average countries with high debt / GDP have a slightly negative growth rate. But isn't that just one data point and not a justification for austerity

Is this really true though? I'm sure the internet will be at a mature technology, but there will always be something new that's bound to come up. Programming != Web dev.
