What in the world. The challenge was the natural language processing. Considering that Watson did that part admirably well, complaining about computers having better reflexes is just silly.

I so hope you're right, but I think this firmly falls into the "This time it's different category". Each bubble has people saying this for various different reasons. I upvoted but disagree because no amount of explanation will make me diges

This is what I don't get. ASP.NET scales pretty well as Joel opines. Why do people think .NET is bad just because it feels enterprise-y? More: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWHfY_lvKIQ

Unrelated note: Some blogger reverse engineered the algo and posted sample code on his blog as an education experience. He got a takedown notice and was forced to remove the post from his blog. Can't find the source right now, will look it

My intention is not piss anyone off, but my first exposure to atheism was because I watched Chris Hitchens speak at Google. He lead me to Dawkins who literally blew my mind away. That lead to me reading a quite a bit more about the human co

Okay, Google links to pages to buy that book. Revenue goes to Microsoft. You can see clearly all over the place that it's a Microsoft book. You can browse where it came from originally. Microsoft "copies" the results. Does not say where the

That comment came from Rubin in the context of Jobs completely botching up the definition of "open-ness". Yet another out of context reference just to be an utter douche. He's been that way ever since Google went after Apple during 2010 IO.

I know, I try to come back from work, switch off for sometime and then put in a few more hours at night building something interesting, so I don't really want to think at all if that's even possible. Legos are an interesting idea.
