Yes, but deliberate malfeasance isn't the usual problem when this occurs, as much as some variant of "the BI person hit run before the query was finished".

I'm still waiting for a very simple proxy where I can write rules like "DELETE statements must come with a WHERE".

This feels a lot like why Kusto was invented. It's very close to SQL, but written the other way around with the table name first, then the 'where', and finally the columns. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us

I keep coming back to this forum post as the most relevant audiophile meme, in which someone finds an alternate memcpy implementation and claims to hear the difference: https://www.audioasylum.com/forums/pcaudio/me

I feel Web3 security has regressed heavily on what used to be the norm. When I first played with Bitcoin, it was basically the expectation everyone had an air gapped desktop with an offline wallet, and a "watch only" wallet online

All I can say here is that my experience with ransomware response is that _every_ company has some document stating they can recover from scratch with backups in x hours, and in no case have I ever seen those hours be accurate, or even clos

The search on Elden rings wiki is extremely good. Often I don't know what an enemy is called but you type a rough description and it will find it. I'm imagining the site deals with fairly significant load- the game is incredibly w

I don't think you should feel a need to defend this. It's one of the more popular web servers on the Internet, and this looks like a great resource for it.

The trade off here is that many non tech organisations make MFA at all a political difficulty. I've sat in on several meetings about how we can reduce the difficulty of using Microsoft MFA, with people talking about preinstalling it on

There's a really interesting statement about mindsets here. Everyone I know in tech would probably agree with you, and consider suing reporters to be a bad approach. But everyone I speak to in business management seems to take the view

A side issue here is that if you don't have an MX record configured (say, you figured a domain isn't used for mail), it doesn't mean "we don't accept mail". You'll be surprised at how much spam ends up bei

I know you're getting a lot of good technical advise in this thread but let me bring out something that needs to be said more often: No web developer or web development agency or SEO person or whatever needs your EPP/transfer code

Yes I've seen that, but I don't see how people are making the leap to assume that this Azure leak came through Okta.

It would be confusing to me if Microsoft were utilising Okta themselves. Their own Azure offerings provide everything Okta does (and usually bundled into something you're already buying).
