I DM streaming Emacs with ascii maps a-la roguelike and this minor mode on org. Players love it. Tactical depth of map and all theater of the mind engagement. I actually kick-started my maps with rogel-ike. An Emacs roguelike game. Check it

Let me just mark that I know no spaniard outside government doing paid overtime. Literally. Everyone is doing overtime and it is not paid. That is huge corruption wise, it prevents jobs from being created, money is being stolen from workers

I meant org-mode. I didn't know about the other one. Thanks for the info. I do not use Emacs as spreadsheet often. As my spreadsheet needs are larger than org-mode is comfortable with. Pretty much business people sharing data at work.

Emacs comes with a pretty good plain text spreadsheet. I have not figured out how to use it for large amounts of data (caped at 999 rows) but it's way more powerful than "your favorite spreadsheet software" as it allows for b

The whole point of Emacs is: you get to change whatever you don't like. Furthermore, why use Emacs as an IDE if you don't like it? Who cares what editor you use? Unless you use Emacs, then they make fun of you for using it, while

This is one of the best criticisms of AI that I have read. Leaving science alone and working on our own biases should be the way forward. But with censorship on the rise in every corner of the world and political spectrum, I would say thing

I have been using Emacs for about 5 years. I don't think I will ever graduate from advanced beginner. I learn something new every week. And I would say I have done fairly sophisticated stuff with Emacs. I also think you are right. I am

Yes, no government control is exactly the point of no legalization. Violence and gangs and ridiculous prices are a symptom of criminalization. If in order to produce and consume you face several years prison, gangsters happen. If nobody car

I see your point, and I think is valid. But I disagree. I think the harm of legalization is only slightly below the war on drugs. Legalization means another vector of government control in my life, most likely outsourced to big pharma. All

I believe there is some sort of nonsequitur on the proposed argument. You can stop the war on drugs and keep the "drugs are evil" narrative. It's called decriminalization. Stop bothering people for possessing, producing or us

I found out most people confound familiarity and "intuitiveness" when trying to teach Emacs. They would say it was not intuitive because common key shortcuts were not default. I would try to explain, to no avail I must say, that i

As a curiosity note, when I asked my friend's dad how did he managed to get 3 degrees and 2 PhDs, his answer was: "Bear in mind amphetamines were sold over the counter back then."

About tricking... I mean, we are talking about psychiatrists using psychedelics to aid therapy, I want to believe they are not the kind of people to trick others. Other than that you are absolutely right. Drug effects depend on dosage and w

It is a common opinion of people not acquainted to mushrooms that you will loose control, as if all drugs had the same effect as weed or alcohol. Loosing control with mushrooms is associated to high doses or previous psychotic conditions.
