Tweetbot rocks! However, I just moved it out of my dock and replaced it with the Ello app tonight. If Twitter fails to come to its UX senses, I will stop supporting it even from a 3rd party client - especially when Ello is building somethin

It's convinced me that they either lack a UX team with any real power or simply don't get it at all.

I couldn't have said it better mahouse! I'm giving Twitter, one tweet a week now and have now moved the Ello app to my dock. I'm getting prepared to stop tweeting completely.

Totally agree. Twitter has the wrong management team in place. However, I discovered Ello and will mske that my new home. It respects users and has the right view of ad-tech. I will misd Twitter though.

Thank you! You're not alone either. I'm pretty sure Twitter is going to discover that their data driven approach is only as good as the data, which based on their most recent product trends, has not been very good. It seems that m

I think many teams end up chasing the wrong metrics - data driven at the expense of UX. I'm ready to pack up and call it quits on Twitter.

Why does Twitter struggle with UX so much. It's as if they don't understand their core strengths or brand.

Indeed. I think Yahoo is already a liability to the Mozilla brand. DDG should just become the default for search. That move would at least create goodwill for Mozilla.

A bad proposition unless folks forget about that whole UIDH tracking thing. Who really uses Yahoo! these days?

The AirMail UI needs work but I use it for its support of Markdown - one of the areas that really needs polishing.

I love DDG and the !bang syntax. Just a tip if you want to avoid Google completely - use !sp instead of !g. You will get a Google result without any of your data going to Google. Also, you can use !bangs at the end of a search query too, no

It might not be for ad targeting, but it's for Google's monetization as stated in the article. It's mined. Google should not be allowed near an educational environment. It's business is built on data collection and monet

Another TL;DR take on Twitter's problem. It all boils down to a lack of good UX principles and a realization that its vore value will appeal to a smaller smarter audience until it gets ruined even more.

The problem is that favoriting has historically been associated with bookmarking. It is never really taken in the literal sense of the word online. Hearts/Likes does not work in so many situations. I won't heart something that is

Make some new friends on Ello? The big picture stuff like ad tech and tracking is becoming a touchstone for measuring companies in my opinion. Ello earns respect for their stand and I use it regardless of whether people I know use it or not
