Ouch, hopefully doesn't turn into blaster 2.0. These days you're just asking for trouble if port 80 is open and you don't have a need for it, though.

Ah, I wonder why doesn't the original project just fold up and point people at the currently maintained version. I'd still be very nervous about trusting my network to a random fork of mostly unmaintained software. At least with

Isn't Tomato way out of date? Wikipedia shows the last stable release was almost 5 years ago, and the website shows no dates on its releases (not a good sign). I ran Tomato for a long time and loved it, but I just got too nervous run

Yeah that looks like a great start, especially with how the NTSC signal is generated and interpreted. I don't see much around simulating the electron beam and its interaction with the phosphors and front of the tube though. I imagine

I love these CRT shaders but have always wondered, has anyone thought about or worked on a physically accurate simulation of a CRT television? Something that takes a framebuffer as input and simulates the electric signals that control the

Act now since big V8s are kind of going out of style. BMW is dropping the V8 from its new M3 and going to a turbo I6, Cadillac's new full-size will have a twin turbo V6 instead of a V8, Mercedes is shrinking the size of its turbo V8 f

See Ben from the Raspberry Pi foundation's response here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=8983801 Sadly there really hasn't been any update or good info on what Win 10 on the Pi 2 will be yet.

No, there's a lot of confusion from bad messaging with the Pi 2 and Windows 10 announcement. By all reports Win 10 on the Pi 2 is a system to run services that have no GUI, desktop, or other UI.

Looking forward to hearing more detail about how this works in the near future. I am curious though what are the plans to orchestrate and pull together multiple containers into an application, like Kubernetes, Mesos, CoreOS, etc? Is that

avr-gcc libc has an implementation of floating point math but it's not accelerated at all by the AVR hardware (i.e. there is no FPU). Most Arduino boards (the Uno) are 16mhz with only 2kb of memory, so running a full FFT is possible b

Congrats to the team! Interesting to see a big focus on Kubernetes going forward--doesn't CoreOS kind of compete with Kubernetes? (even though Kubernetes builds on CoreOS tools like etcd)

I remember when Ara was first announced that it was in a special Google program where it basically has to have results in a year or they shut it down. I'd love to know how it's tracking in that and if it looks like it will live o

Unfortunately in practice I've found powershell hasn't been much of a panacea. You give up all the problems of parsing text, but now have new problems dealing with tools that don't output objects and getting them to do so. I
