I'm not sure what you're doing to get into deadlocks, but when used as prescribed, I personally haven't run in to these issues. Swift concurrency is still in a transitory period, and with that comes some warnings about how yo

You can argue that even greater than the tourism revenue they generate (which is significant) it's the soft power they yield; all the heads of state want to grab a selfie with Lizzie, less so with Rishi. (Time will tell with Charles.)

You realise the 'anachronistic monarchy' is just a tourist attraction/diplomatic lever at this point, right? Britain is a parliamentary democracy. I'm pretty confident Charlie doesn't have a hand in enabling sweepin

That's fair. Maybe Wells Fargo and others were on the cutting edge of this change. But somehow, I doubt it.

Banking in the US had quite a few surprises for me. Often masked as 'for security' when it's anything but. A few examples spring to mind. 1) Chip and pin took the US forever to adopt. I've heard arguments that this is be

I’m happy for the initiative – but only if it’s actually backed up with genuine resources. My fear is the typical ‘fanfare and forget’ approach. Plus I’m concerned that this format makes finding good answers to problems completely unsearcha

Xcode definitely has it's issues but I think they're moving to a system where Swift, and the Swift Package Manger specifically, can provide a bunch of this kind of functionality. Take a look at this 'Meet Swift Package Plugin

Code is the OG 'No Code'. Or to give the movement its full title 'No Machine Code'. I wonder if programmers of the day thought that compilers would put them out of a job?

Agreed. I’d love to see Apple break the core of Xcode out into a separate app with a pared down feature set (text editor, file explorer, debugger, console, etc) give it LSP support - and then make it extensible and blazing fast. Basically V

It’s the app’s financial data. Not usage data. App developers would keenly sign up for this to get analysis and visualisation tools of the financial reports provided by Apple. At the time App Annie came about all that Apple provided devs wi

CRDTs are fascinating data structures to me. One question: how would you handle something like cursor position with a DS like this? In the structure itself or a parallel structure with the site-id, insertion-point and expiration date?
