Or the coolness (lack of heat). I bought a laptop with an AMD chip once, never again. Thing was a fire hazard.

No effort to make existing apps work on Microsoft’s part, and when done was virtualization and not translation. The translation of x86_64 to aarch64 is key to making this work well.

When I first saw this a while back I got the idea to build a terminal based email client that supported rendering HTML messages using some of the technology behind this. I should really pick that up again.

The most surprising thing is this article is that containerd maintainers don’t provide binaries for anything but x86_64!

Yeah that’s only true if you aren’t using piops. It can be an order of magnitude in price difference vs i3 when you need lots of I/O.

Buy a thinkpad. Dell’s build quality and support are atrocious compared to Lenovo. Lenovo doesn’t hold a candle to Apple still but Dell is still bottom barrel. Have you ever tried calling Dell to get something fixed? Good luck! Thinkpads ar

Arch is amazing as a daily driver. I use it both on an ec2 vm for development and on the client (my thinkpad) that connects to it. Both are zero maintenance after being set up and I get the latest kernels and dev tools without the need for

Spotify is quite literally an entertainment provider. They can provide any content they want. They are not a newspaper and have no obligation to only promote and host content that matches some folks views and honestly I’m thankful for it. H

I am biased but you are definitely missing out by just listening to your friends on this one. These days MongoDB is pretty mature and the “MongoDB sucks” meme is getting pretty long in the tooth. It turns out it takes a decade to build a ne

That IP address configuration screen in the MacOS of yesteryear was amazing, wow. The slider to select the number of host/network bits is slick. I wonder why we don’t have something like that today.
